With experience spanning more than a decade in the gaming industry, he has built a reputation for combining technical depth with systems-driven game design focused on player agency and emergent gameplay.

Born on June 14, 1987, in Glendale, California, Hooman grew up during a transformative era in gaming and digital technology. Raised in a family that emphasized creativity, education, and entrepreneurship, he developed an early fascination with both storytelling and computer systems. Inspired by games such as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Half-Life, Final Fantasy VII, and StarCraft, he became interested not only in playing games, but in understanding how they were built.

By the age of twelve, Hooman had already begun teaching himself programming through books and online tutorials, experimenting with languages such as QBASIC, HTML, JavaScript, and C++. One of his earliest projects was a 2D platformer inspired by Southern California landmarks including the Santa Monica Pier and Griffith Park. Throughout high school, he continued creating independent game projects while developing a strong interest in engineering and digital media.

Hooman attended Clark Magnet High School in Glendale, where he specialized in computer science, robotics, and digital media. During his senior year, he earned recognition for designing an educational physics-based game that won a regional student competition. He later attended the University of California, Irvine, earning a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a minor in Game Design and Interactive Media. His university studies focused heavily on artificial intelligence systems, game engine architecture, procedural generation, and graphics programming.

After graduating in 2009, Hooman began his professional career as a Junior Gameplay Programmer at PixelForge Interactive in Santa Monica, California. There, he worked on indie and mobile titles, focusing on gameplay systems, debugging, and engine optimization. His strong technical problem-solving skills quickly earned him recognition within development teams.

His breakthrough came in 2013 when he joined NovaRealm Studios as a Gameplay Systems Engineer for the open-world RPG Eclipse of Empires. His work included designing enemy AI behaviors, dynamic weather systems, environmental physics interactions, and skill tree architecture. The commercial success of the project significantly elevated his profile within the industry.

Over the years, Hooman contributed to several major gaming projects across PC and console platforms.
